Ĭoming on next is the Carolina chickadee, performing his new hit single, " Chickadee-dee-dee”! He may be little and cute, but he's not a chick anymore! Call (often in flight): a shrill, ringing tcheek, louder and harsher than the Downy Woodpecker's, and a rapid series of hoarse, descending kehs. Listen for the " peter peter peter" of the tufted titmouse and the robin's cheery whistle. Up first is a chorus of some of the most common birds in the park.
